Trivium "Les Ivrettes Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

$64.99

After two decades of living in the same neighborhood and sharing great Cabernets with each other, Doug Wight, Jack Stuart, and Stu Harrison created Trivium, or a place where three ways meet. The fruit comes from a few select rows of the famed Lewelling vineyard. This particular portion has been lovlingly referred as Les Ivrettes, taking its name from the French for tipsy girls, recalling the days when daughters Haley, Caitlin, and Cassie gathered among the vines for celebrations with friends.  A great discovery, only 371 cases made.  90 Points Robert Parker: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, juicy wine bursting with dark red fruit, licorice, savory herbs. The fruit-forward style is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. There is a centeredeness and focus to the fruit that is quite appealing. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020."
