Ojai's Roll Ranch is always one of our favorite Syrahs in California - big, fruity and complex. Highly Recommended. 95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Black fruit, scorched earth, smoke, tobacco and iron burst from the glass in the 2010 Syrah Roll Ranch Vineyard. A rich, explosive Syrah, the Roll Ranch is not for the timid. The sheer power and intensity of the fruit take hold of all the senses and never let up. This is the only Ojai Syrah that is co-fermented with a dollop of Viognier, which is felt in the wine's perfumed, floral-laced finish. This is yet another gorgeous new release from Ojai. Drink 2014-2024."

Though Roll Ranch isn't my favorite from Adam, this is still a very interesting Syrah. Of all our clients at Bien Nacido and Solomon Hills he consistently performs on the highest of levels

Big boy! Could use an additional 5 years. Big tannins. Special wine

Had the 2010 Roll Ranch with Christmas dinner of prime rib, baby artichokes, asparagus, roasted potatoes. Had this after a 1999 Dalla Valle Cabernet. A little thin on first sip and not a as full as the regular cuvée. Losing fruit? Energized and vibrant for an older vintage. After some time in the glass, the wine filled out and is improving. Maybe decant?
