Textbook's 2013 "Mise en place" Cabernet is a small-production discovery from the heart of Napa Valley's Oakville District, sourced from a vineyard next to Screaming Eagle. Beautiful Cab for a reasonable price - try it while its still available. 95 Points Robert Parker: "The inky/purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon Mise en Place comes from the rocky east side of Oakville, and spent 24 months in French oak. Playing it closer to the vest than its siblings, with coaxing, it reveals some extraordinarily ripe, rich blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with hints of charcoal, scorched earth and wet rocks. It has tremendous upside potential, but at present it is the least flattering of the Textbook Cabernets. Full-bodied and powerful, it should turn out to be a beauty, but buyers should plan on deferring their gratification for 2-4 years. Watch the magic unfold over the following two decades."

Dark plum, ripe blueberry and a bit off saddle leather - very nice nose and the finish is a smooth one / a bit young but couldn't wait to give it a go

Love it; it's bold but not too dry, a great wine for dinner or by itself.
