Textbook's 2012 "La Poussiere" Cabernet is a small-production discovery from the heart of Napa Valley's Rutherford District. Beautiful Cab for a reasonable price - try it while its still available. The Rutherford District is the heart of Napa Valley and renown for its very finest Cabernet Sauvignon. And for good reason. Its gravelly soils, warm days and cool nights give this Bordeaux variety everything it needs to reach perfection. The Textbook "La Poussiere" Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the east side of appellation in very gravelly, nutrient poor soils. Gnarled thirty year-old heritage vines and low yields, combined with 22 months of maturation in new French oak have delivered a textbook Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep, rich and complex, it will continue to improve in bottle for several years. Only 9 barrels made.
