Terrabianca Campaccio Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2009

$28

A fantastic value Super Tuscan red from Italy!93 points Antonio Galloni:  "Terrabianca’s 2009 Campaccio is striking in this vintage. _x001F_The purity of the fruit is remarkable in this vibrant, beautifully sculpted wine. Freshly cut flowers, red berries and spices all add nuance on the vibrant, pointed _x001D_finish. _x001F_The 2009 is all about delineation and clarity. Simply put, this is one of the better versions of the estate’s flagship I can remember tasting."

Interesting modern Super Tuscan blend. You can enjoy both Cabernet and Sangiovese - would love to try it again with lamb.

At Parma 8200. Super Tuscan. Very tannic at first. But add food (Italian) and it open up in to a tasty fruit balance. A little ash and tar but lots of dark fruit and a little plum. Worth 33 at the store. Not quite so worth it at restaurant mark up.

Great cherries, violets and dust. Nice tannins and acid that play well. Definitely Sangiovese with a good blanket of cabernet - doesn't strangle or suffocate it, makes it comfortably wrapped. Killer QPR.

What I love in Italian wine. Elegant tannins, and rich tart red fruit.
