New release of Sassicaia's second wine, Guidalberto, a phenomenal buy from Italy. Limited. From Tenuta San Guido, makers of the iconic Sassicaia, comes a wine made for less serious occasions, but maintains the high class of winemaking. Aged in a mix of French and American oak for 15 months. This is the wine to enjoy while its big brother, Sassicaia, spends another few years in time-out. Straight from the barrel, Vinous was already calling it “positively stellar” and Wine Enthusiast has since marked it as “racy and delicious.” 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with 40% Merlot, this delicate blend is driven by freshness and pops with intense red fruit flavor and ripe, silky tannins. 95 Points Wine Enthusiast: "This enticing red offers alluring aromas of fragrant purple flowers, dark-skinned berries and crushed mint. The elegantly structured palate doles out succulent blackberry, orange zest, licorice and saline notes set against taut, refined tannins. It's nicely balanced by fresh acidity. Drink 2022–2029."

At an Italian Restaurant on the Gold Coast having a nice pasta dish of Rigatoni with Lamb Shoulder. This wine by San Guido where their top Cuvée is the famous Sassicaia. This wine is 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Oak maturation is well balanced using a combination of new and used oak. The nose shows obvious Cabernet traits and shows again how suitable Bolgheri is to Bordeaux blends - plummy notes. A good match with the dish. A dry finish.

Most recent vintage of this Baby Sassicaia. Just as good as the ‘19. Subtle fruit, elegantly balanced. Could drink this all night. Or all week.

Rubis presque violet.

On nose its floral, dried tobacco, earthy, white pepper and creamy as well. On palate, its blackberries, plums, wine is full bodied, medium+ acidity, tannic, too young but shows quality from concentration and intensity. 50% Merlot and 50% Carbenet Sauvignon

Brooding dark fruit, cocoa powder and a hint of balsamic on the nose. Great acidity and length. Showing Tuscan terrior with Bordeaux varieties exceptionally. Bravo
