This new label from Carlo Trinchero and Josh Phelps is hot!  Limited Next generation winemakers Josh Phelps and Carlo Trinchero make one of the hottest and delicious new Red Blends from the Napa Valley: Taken.  Intense aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries, crushed graphite and earthy notes, underlying deep tones of dark chocolate and espresso with hints of vanilla and toasty French oak.  Taken 2017 Red is a delicious blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon embellished with Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah. 94 Points Brix26:  "Created in a rich and showy style, the Taken Red Napa Valley has a concentrated core that's decked with intense black fruits, earthly spices and black chocolates. Held captive for around 18 months in French oak, the 2017 is really starting to show."
