One of our favorite California Syrahs. 92 Points Antonio Galloni: "The 2012 Syrah Angeli is the most overt of the Stolpman Syrahs. A wine of notable concentration and depth, the 2012 hits the palate with waves of fruit, all supported by beams of tannin. Small berries and loose bunches in this parcel give the Angeli a level of textural richness and depth that nearly buries the 70% whole clusters. In 2012, the Angeli is more about power than finesse, but it all works."

Needs two hour decant, fruit is great, terrior make me yearn for a trip to Los Olivos. Barrel influence still a bit strong (menthol notes from char) but works out nicely. Fruit is in the blueberry and plum spectrum. Some sediment is noticeable on bottle and on palette (nice texture), color and body has thinned a bit, In its peak, and guess a 3 year window before fruit begins its decent into the abyss (que: Slayer
