Beginning with the harvest of 1999, Doug Stanton began selecting some of their best Oakville Cabernet for the Stanton Vineyards label. This vintage brings a reprise of the last year's 100% representation of their Estate Cabernet Sauvignon varietal. Everything from its deep purple color to its aromas of dark berries, Creme de Cassis, blueberries, sweet vanilla and humidor spice marks this as an exceptionally ripe Cabernet. 95 Points Brix26: "The Stanton Cabernet Sauvignon offers a chewy core of dusty graphite and crushed rock earthiness, with blackberry, licorice and cedary oak notes.
