A fantastic new Chardonnay from Sonoma-Loeb. Pear, pineapple, and banana flavors overlap with hints of vanilla, clove, and warm butter; intense and powerful in the Burgundian style, it offers beautiful balance between fruit and acidity. (this was previously called 'Private Reserve') John Loeb set out to challenge the wines of Burgundy with American wines when he purchased vineyard land in Sonoma County in 1973. Yep, way back then, before it was the thing to do. The brand that John Loeb built was acquired by the Chappellet family in 2011. Our wines have been made at Chappellet's legendary winery on Pritchard Hill since our first vintage in 1990. We'd been in a relationship for over 20 years so it made good sense for Chappellet to take on Sonoma-Loeb as a sister brand. Pioneers in the Napa Valley, who put down roots in 1967, the Chappellet's have a legacy for making world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate on Pritchard Hill.
