96 Points Pinot Report Sojourn is a hot new Pinot producer and this beauty from the Sangiacomo Vineyard is a must-have - only 975 cases produced. 96 Points Pinot Report: "Deep ruby color; intense, complex aromas of cherry and leather with meaty notes; mouthfilling flavors of stewed cherry, leather and earth; very complex, great texture; great structure and balance; long finish. Intense, deep Pinot with so many interesting flavors and nuances. Really needs some air and time in the bottle to fully develop. Amazingly deep and complex, this is a Pinot that never ceases to impress me." The 2014 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir exhibits the lush creamy textures and dark red fruit flavors that fans have enjoyed in previous vintages. The warm growing season resulted in complex flavor development at optimal tannin levels. A small percentage of Swan clone was blended tothe traditional blend of clones 115 and 777. The resulting wine is nicely balanced with seductive aromas of dark cherry, black tea, and earthy forest floor. Textures are creamy and silky with an extra level of elegance and finesse. Fantastic farming by the Sangiacomo Family ensured that the crop was in the best possible condition on pick day, resulting in a concentrated and luxurious wine. Dedicated work in the vineyard meant extended hang-time to provide smooth tannins and balanced structure alongside vibrant fruit and complex characters. 2014 is a fantastic Pinot noir vintage and we are especially proud of the Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot noir.

Candied cherries, strawberries and vanilla. Cinnamon spice and some forest floor. Tons of primary aromas right when opened. Love it.

Cloudy red color. Smooth raspberry jam with brown butter, molasses, and gingerbread. Burn of raw alcohol on the finish.

A terrific Pinot that holds it own and was paired well with a salmon and gazpacho dish perfectly.

Excellent Sonoma Pinot. Ready to drink, dispute its youthful fruit, it's a savory red and blue fruited wine with a great finish.

Delicious candied red fruits with enough structure to keep it interesting. Great now, but probably not a long-term keeper. I will drink mine in the next year or two. Very nice now.
