96 Points Silverado is one of Napa Valley's classic wineries, and their new small production, top-of-the-line GEO Cabernet from the Coombsville are in Napa Valleyis perhaps the finest ever produced at this venerable estate. 96 Points Tasting Panel: "This single vineyard Cab comes from Mount George Vineyard at the base of Mount George volcano. Aromas of blackberry pie, mocha café and slate are expressive and sumptuous. Chocolate blueberry enters first, lifted by big-shouldered, yet elegant tannins. Spiced on the middle, with clove, leather and anise. Plush and generous." 95 Points James Suckling: "There’s a concentrated and focused feel to this elegant and fragrant cab with aromas of violets and blackcurrants, leading to a smooth and even-paced palate with succulent, long and rich, fruit-soaked tannins. Made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount George Vineyard, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral notes, herbs, spice and earthy cedar tones. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and blueberry fruit with notes of cacao, leather and oak notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with dried fruits, cacao and earthy oak.
