Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

$99.99

New release!                            The new vintage of Silver Oak's iconic Alexander Valley Cabernet now available! The 2019 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has notes of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, iris, vanilla and clove. Ruby in color, this elegant wine has great acidity and lift on the mid-palate. Black currant and warm baking spices linger with a deep and fruity finish. It will provide drinking pleasure through 2047 given proper cellaring. The Silver Oak 2019 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 95.2% Cabernet Sauvignon,1.9% Merlot and 2.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.4% Petit Verdot.  After blending in early 2020, the 2019 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was transferred to American oak barrels from the wineries cooperage, The Oak, where it aged for 18 months. Blending before barrel aging—a signature of our winemaking style—allows blends to be based on the inherent qualities of their vineyard components before oak influence. Vintage to vintage, the resulting Cabernets emerge integrated and ready to drink upon release.  Robert Parker: "The Silver Oak Alexander Valley cuvee is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in new oak... Herbaceous, with sweet red and black currant fruit, spice box, and tell-tale oakiness, this is a wine to drink during its first decade of life

Tasting Silver Oak at the winery in Alexander Valley. What a treat. The 19 is elegant and nicely balanced. Subtle tannins.

Wonderfully balanced, dry through and through. Medium body start to finish with persistent tannins to the end.
