A great New Pinot Noir from one of Oregon's leading Pinot Noir producers! Sourced from throughout Shea Vineyard this is classic Oregon Pinot Noir. It displays violet aromas, red fruit on the palate and a spicy long finish. The Estate is big but not overpowering. The tannins are smooth, the acidity bright and the wine structured and balanced. Wine Enthusiast: "It opens with lush aromatics, then flavors of rhubarb, berry, citrus, pine needle and a sprinkling of dried Italian herbs that combine gracefully and carry through a long finish."

Bought at winery. Light to moderate extraction, purple red. Mixed berry fruit leather, menthol-mint, barrel smoke and mushroom notes in nose. Blackberry, cherry, mint, cola and anise flavors, slightly tart, moderate seed bitterness, skin astringency on tip of tongue on finish. Great complexity and varietal character, even from first pour out of the bottle with no decanting

Took a good 2 and half hours to open up. 2011s are about complexity and subtlety.. soft and elegant finish made this crushable.
