Fresh and fleshy, the expansive palate offers concentrated flavors of kiwi and pineapple. The wine was largely fermented in oak, then aged just over a year in French oak (75% new). On the palate flavors of ripe melon, pineapple, apricot and notes of honeysuckle with hints of lemon zest and biscuit notes, delicate, complex and well balanced, big and full Chardonnay. Long finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and nutty toasty character. Will age well. Outstanding!

I probably haven’t earned it but this bottle of wine cost me (just) less than a nice night out and under the circumstances this option has delivered. Oak spices are just so perfectly integrated with racy, fresh cool-weather fruit and an eager, dynamic acid profile that you want more and more. Juicy pear, lemon/lime, spiced creme brûlée. Very glad I’m not sharing. 0% malolactic.
