A classic, powerful Cabernet fom Napa Valley's famed Rutherford Bench! Seqouia Grove is one of those great small family-run wineries in the prime Cabernet area of Napa Valley that has managed to remain under the radar. One of the best Cabs we've tasted in this price range, its full of the big tannins and a healthy dose of American Oak that Silver Oak fans love. The grapes come from well-regarded vineyards in the Napa Valley and Seqouia Grove's own estate vineyards in Rutherford. 93 Points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a dark, big, deeply flavored Cabernet whose tannic structure strongly suggests mid- to long-term aging. Bone dry, it has flashy flavors of black currants, dark chocolate and cedar. Very fine. Best 2013–2018 if not longer in a proper cellar."

Elegant. Served with lamb. Hints of Vanilla to compliment the lush black cherry.

Pleasantly surprised by the 2013 Sequoia Grove Cabernet. I like this wine quite a bit more than the average critic score of ~91 pts. Not a typical in-you-face Napa cab, but an extremely well balanced wine that showcases what Napa is capable of - even at a reasonable price. Score: 93 points

This is very good. Especially for the price. It's a serious napa cab with structure but without overbearing tannins. I think it's good now but will be better in a few years and to test that theory I ran back and picked up a few bottles. Cheers.

I've always enjoyed Sequoia Grove because of its embodiment of many of the notes that I love, all the while being consistent and at a good price point. Cedar, licorice, dark berries and assorted fruits, and eucalyptus.
