Showing hints of chocolate and mint with time in the glass, this medium to full-bodied, multidimensional effort has no hard edges, incredible depth and intensity, and is just a brilliant, brilliant wine that needs to be tasted to be believed. It needs a decant if drinking any time soon yet will cruise for two decades in cool cellars. This is magical stuff." From enigmatic producer Sean Thackrey, comes another of his highly-allocated wines, this time a Rhône-style blend.  This bottle is truly sublime.  Like no other wine that we've tasted before.  The fruit gets bigger with each sip, one jammy mouthful after another.  Think Châteauneuf-du-Pape California-style.  Always quick to sell out, the previous vintage received 95 points from Robert Parker, who wrote: "Marching to the beat of a drummer largely unknown to any other winemaker in California, Sean Thackerey continues to produce some extraordinary wines, in this case from a field blend planted in 1905. This is clearly a Rhône Ranger blend, with a dense ruby/purple color and loads of incense, camphor, blue and black fruits, earth, and spice. Full-bodied, rich, and bursting with personality, the wine is unique/singular, with an intensity that has to be tasted to be believed. Drink it over the next decade or more."
