Rombauer Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Fantastic new release! Well-known for their Chardonnay, Rombauer has now entered the top-tier of Napa Cab producers. A top notch Cabernet. Made from estate fruit as well as fruit from select growers, Rombauer's Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Stags Leap District, Atlas Peak, Mount Veeder, St. Helena, Calistoga and Rutherford AVAs. The Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by inclusion of 11% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot and the wine aged in 70% new French oak for 17 months before bottling.

Blackberry, cassis, extremely fruit forward and jammy. High alcohol but needs more tannin to balance. Felt flabby and jammy liqueur. Tannins moderate at best. Middle was missing.
