Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Extra Dry Sparkling Wine NV

$49.99

Rare 1.5L MAGNUM bottle 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is an assertive, flavorful and robust wine, with a medium to full body, a mouthfilling texture and fine-beaded bubbles. A creamy viscosity and wonderful layers of butter, apple, vanilla and ginger make for a delicious palate. *Editors' Choice* " 93 points Wine Spectator: "Seamless and silky, showing an almost effortless sense of complexity, with notes of lemon and pear paired with toasty brioche, fresh ginger and hazelnut details. *Top 100 Wines of 2018, Smart Buys* " 92 Points Decanter Magazine: " I would happily drink this wine every day if there weren’t so many other wines in the world to taste. Its wonderful play of creamy yet kinetic textures, the custardy, limey flavours, and its impeccable focus all add up to one of the best ways possible to greet 6pm after a long work day. Roederer Estate was, in my opinion, the first California sparkling producer to achieve complexity in its wines – especially in the estate’s prestige cuvée, L’Ermitage. The Brut (sold as Quartet in the UK) is generally 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. " 92 points Wine & Spirits As fresh as crunchy apples in the fall, this wine opens to beautiful richness with air. There’s toasty character from the lees aging and brighter notes of red fruit, hinting at raspberries. A clean sparkler with impressive flavor depth, this serves equally well as a refreshing aperitif or a substantial dinner partner with seafood sausage. (8/2018)

Founded in 1982, Roederer Estate adds oak-aged reserve wines to all their blends to create complex, dry and harmonious sparkling wines. Had this a year ago, distributor said this is a new run. First Brut California sparkling produced by Champagne Louis Roederer. Straw, nice mousse and bubbles for this 60% Chardonnay & 40% Pinot Noir blend. Crisp Apples, creamy mineral tones, nice balance with acidity. Lingering finish ending with oak, lemon and nutty characteristics. Consistent. Very nice!
