Another beautiful wine from Keenan's Spring Mountain winery. Discover this winery before its too late! 91 Points Wine & Spirits: "Good Merlot can often seem workmanlike, this one satisfied to hit fragrant notes of ripe cherries with clarity. It’s not pushed, and though there’s oak present in the tannins, it frames the fruit well." Robert Parker: "Micheal Keenan has done an incredible job at this Spring Mountain winery over the last 10-15 years, producing one of the finest Cabernet Francs in all of northern California as well as hitting all cylinders with his other Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as his sumptuous blend called Mernet."

Purchased on the cruise for $66.00 ($38.94 with discount) for lunch and Sabor, the mexican restaurant. Medium ruby red with garnet edges. Seemed a bit older on the nose with notes of forest floor and dried black cherries. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Notes of burnt spices, cinnamon, wood, dark raspberries and leather on the palate. Dry medium to medium plus finish. Drink till 2021

Pleased with is wine. I've been impressed with Keenan and this keeps it going. Pepper, tobacco and bold black fruit on the nose. Smooth, with some time spent in the air. A bit dry on the tongue but smooth from start to finish. Enjoyed with an Orzo pasta dish with chicken and a pesto drizzling.

Heavier Merlot. Smooth upfront. Lots of earthy tones and spice. Medium tannins and can get some tartness at the end.

Hard to accurately judge as bottle was served warm. Very young and need decanting time. Nose is closed. Medium weight and warm red fruit. Short finish and hard tannins in the finish.
