Robert Keenan Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

$54.99

Keenan is a fantastic producer on Napa Valley's Spring Mountain. Neighboring Pride, Paloma, Barnett and Cain, a beautiful mountain Cabernet we highly recommend. 92 Points Robert Parker: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and displaying a deep garnet-purple color and nose of expressive blackberries, blueberries and pencil shavings plus lovely dried leaves, rose hip tea and fragrant earth nuances, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is medium to full-bodied in the firm, taut, energetic and lively mouth, with grainy tannins and a long, earthy finish... ...This winery on Spring Mountain has been doing an impeccable job of winemaking for a number of years now, and they continue to show a Midas touch across all varieties they work with."

Classic Napa Cab, nice fruit but showing some constraint. Very good. At Family Winemakers of California Tasting in Del Mar.

Happy Independence Day! Classic American Cabernet. This is probably more old school. Not heavy but packs depths of flavor and intensity.

Good but not great. I expected better from this top producer. 2015 was supposed to be a great year for Cabs but you can’t tell from this wine. Soft tannins with a tart finish. Maybe it’ll be better in a few years.
