A fantastic Merlot/Cab blend from Keenan's Spring Mountain vineyards. Rare release. 93 points Robert Parker: "Another Reserve cuvée, the equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is the 2014 Mernet Reserve. Deep opaque ruby/purple, with sweet crème de cassis and black cherry notes, some underbrush and forest floor, medium to full body, and outstanding purity and texture, it is not a big wine, but elegant, intense and authoritative. Drink it over the next 10-15 years... ...This winery on Spring Mountain has been doing an impeccable job of winemaking for a number of years now, and they continue to show a Midas touch across all varieties they work with."

Great wine - 50% Cab, 50% Merlot. Very structured. Needs to go to sleep for minimum 5 years when it will be fantastic. Not exactly cheap at $90, so the value proposition remains a bit shaky especially comparing to the higher scoring Merlot at 35 bucks.

2014 vintage with Beef Wellington on 12/31/23. Well balanced wine with smooth tannins. Has a long life ahead of it.

Ending this year on a good note! Excellent 2014 blend - wish we had more to cellar.

This wine blew me away! Youthful no doubt, but the red fruit is ripe and dark without heaviness or over extraction. Just a pure, elegant, textured thing of beauty. 50/50 Merlot and Cab.
