Very Limited new release of Pride winemaker Robert Foley's private label. The Robert Foley Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most collectible Napa Cabernets available. 98 Points Robert Parker: "Equally impressive is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak and Calistoga. Opaque purple to the rim, with beautiful notes of charcoal embers, melted road tar, truffle, blackberry and cassis, this big, unctuously textured, full-bodied wine has incredible density and richness, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a phenomenal finish. It is young, but undeniably impressive. Give it another 2-3 years of cellaring and drink it over the following two decades-plus... ...Robert Foley, of course, became well-known during his 15-year stint as the winemaker at Pride Mountain Vineyards, high above Spring Mountain. However, he has also made wine at other well-known sites known for quality, including Hourglass, Switchback and Paloma. He only has three wines under his name, and they are all noteworthy efforts."

This was pushing for wine of the day. Reminded me of certain TRB wines in the sense that this included the entire fruit spectrum...raspberries, black cherries, blueberries, blackberries. More blue fruit here than most other cabs (which I enjoy) that adds a sweeter note to the fruit. I saw @Ron R ‘s review where he mentioned brown sugar and I think that is very on point. Zero herbal notes here. Rich and compact. Oak is in play. A total pleasure wine at this point, for those who enjoy sweet and rich fruit.

This is like a tightly coiled spring on the nose and palate. Consistent notes from my prior tasting. This needs more time as the tannins are still underripe. Great potential here.

Mineral-driven nose, with cassis and brown sugar. Palete has toasty oak notes, with blackberries and rich raspberries. Tannins are underripe, but regal. Wine finishes with with a long tail. This needs a few more years in the bottle, and should continue to further improve.
