A unbeatable value proprietary red from Robert Craig Winery. The fruit for the Robert Craig 2012 Mt. George Cuvée is made from fruit that comes from the same estate vineyard source as the grapes for the winery's flagship Bordeaux blend, Affinity. This is like the second label for that flagship, made from lots that don't go into the main wine. A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 23% Petit Verdot aged for five months in French oak barrels. Blue fruit and rosemary scents fill the nose, while the palate teems with dark blue fruit, black olive, cocoa powder and cured tobacco.

Vanilla, coffee, and blue fruits on the nose. Silky body with coffee and black olives. Intense fruit here, as expected. Red cherries, a dash of mushrooms, and fine dust. Long, sexy, spicy finish. Expertly crafted. Not to sound corny but this is wine made by people who know what the hell they're doing.
