ROAR makes some of the best and hardest to get new Pinot Noirs in California. Get the new release BEFORE the ratings come out! 92 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is a pretty, elegant effort that has a sunny style in its strawberry, spice, and dried herb aromas and flavors. Picking up a kiss of orange rind and citrus with time in the glass, it’s medium-bodied and seamless on the palate, with plenty of upfront charm." Roar is owned by Gary & Rosella Franscioni, who planted and own the famed Rosella's Vineyard, Gary's Vineyard and Pisoni Vineyard in California's Central Coast.

Quite a distinctive and gorgeous Pinot from Santa Lucia Highlands. Amber color is deceptively light for this full flavored wine. Rustic, woodsy with brightness on the edges. Medium acidity and a really fragrant and long finish. 14.8% ABV and it shows at opening. Needs to blow off a little.

What an excellent wine and for me a bit different in that the taste outdid the nose as the nose is the big tell for me. Anyway, the nose had some deep red friuits and a bit of cola. The taste was fruity sweet, in a great way, with deep dark fruits and just so enjoyable drinking it. The finish was long and very satisfying. It's the last bottle of Rosella's in my cellar.
