This single-vineyard, single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon is perfection! Limited. 99 Points Jeb Dunnuck:  "Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, the Riverain 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard shows classic Tench power in its black fruits, crushed stone, iron, leather, and Asian spices. These carry to a sensationally concentrated, layered, complex 2023 that has beautiful balance, ample mid-palate depth, and a blockbuster of a finish. The tannins here are just about perfect and this is hard to resist, yet it deserves 3-4 years of bottle age and will see its 20th birthday in fine form. It will probably merit a triple-digit score in a decade. There are 375 cases produced. Drink 2028-2043." With the help of friends, and with his winemaker being Thomas Brown (Pulido-Walker, Maybach, Outpost, and Schrader), the Riverain wines are fantastic. This bottling comes from the Tench Vineyard in eastern Oakville (bordering Screaming Eagle and Rudd). A tiny 325 cases produced.
