Rare rosé Champagne from legendary producer Pol Roger. Limited. 93 Points Wine Spectator: "Rich accents of smoke and pastry lead to white raspberry and apricot fruit, ground ginger and Earl Grey tea notes in this firm, well-knit Pol Roger rosé Champagne. Long and creamy on the lightly spiced finish." 93 Points Wine & Spirits: "This Pol Roger Brut Rosé has just the right color and lively, crisp acidity. The full-bodied feel is very much the house style of this producer, giving richness from ripe red fruits as well as balanced acidity to finish. The wine is generous and ready to drink." Pol Roger does not make a Non-Vintage Rosé, preferring to release only in vintage years. The Brut Rose Vintage 2018 is produced from a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay drawn from some 20 Premiers and Grands crus on the "Montagne de Reims" and the "Côte des Blancs". In order to obtain its delicate colour and subtle nose 15% Pinot Noir, from selected vineyards in Bouzy, Ambonnay and Cumieres, is vinified "en rouge" and added to the blend prior to the second fermentation.

2018 vintage. Fresh with excellent body and a wild, herbaceous woodsiness. Decidedly different, yet appreciated as such. The 2015 is Rembrandt. This 2018 is Picasso. 4.20.24.
