New release of the original Pisoni Pinot Noir - Limited92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Pisoni comes across as more structured than most of the wines made by the Pisoni family in this vintage. Firm yet well-integrated tannins form the backdrop for an expressive tapestry of bright red fruit, flowers, licorice and spices that gradually unfold in the glass. The use of 20% whole clusters brings out an aromatic register that is quite appealing. A poised, beautifully articulated finish rounds things out in style. This is a great showing from the Pisoni family, one of the early pioneers of the Santa Lucia Highland and one of its most eloquent exponents today."

Tart cherries and strawberries on the palate with some spices. Medium bodied and fairly balanced tannins/acid. A rich Pinot, I find Pisoni to be very consistent in profile from year to year. Which to me is a great thing. Very good wine.

Always a favorite and holding its own despite following a big Oakville cab tonight. Full-bodied, tea and spice on the nose, berries on the palate. Well-integrated tannins and a polished mouthfeel. Delicious. Popped and allowed 45 mins in glass only.

From magnum...This 2010 is in a great place right now. Started off a bit tight and muted but over the next hour plus, it really began to shine... Lovely nose of dark cherries, violets and crushed flowers. Boy what a wine and the best domestic Pinot noir I've had in a long time.

Bomb! Definitive of the region. Big personality like the man who grew the grapes.

Delicious. Nice fruit, balanced, had ore-dinner and was great on its own.

From Magnum. Earthy, sweet with that unmistakable SLH funk. Really drinking well -- great finish.

Cherry and earth undertones, smoky oak - light red would pair well with chicke.
