99 Points Rare new single vineyard Pinot Noir release from one of California's most celebrated winemakers Paul Hobbs. 99 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship release, the 2018 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate comes from the Russian River Valley and saw 14% stems and 15 months in 53% new French oak. Medium ruby, with notes of raspberries, spice box, dried cherries, and assorted flowery incense and tea notes, it's wonderfully complex and medium to full-bodied, with seamless tannins and a great finish. Despite coming from the Russian River, it almost has a Sonoma Coast-like style in its perfumed aromatics and beautiful elegance." 96 Points Robert Parker: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate is still in barrel and has a pale to medium ruby-purple color. It explodes out of the glass with a gorgeous perfume of violet, dried coconut and mixed berry preserves with accents of bergamot, lilac, pink peppercorn and prosciutto with an underlying earthiness. Medium to full-bodied, it's über silky and perfumed, with a firm but finely grained frame and seamlessly woven freshness, finishing very long and layered. This is a beauty! 700 cases are expected to be made and released in August 2020."

Loaded red fruit nose. Red fruit, red licorice, earth. Medium bodied. We’ll balanced. Drinks just fine.

Still super young. Literally still tingling on the tongue. Strong fruit nose with long aftertaste. Leave it in the glass for a while or decant for an hour. This is not a delicate or light Pinot. It's full bodied and has lots of dark fruit with a lot of oak Just need several more years to develop, i think
