Great new Chardonnay release from Patz & Hall - dont miss. 91 Points Robert Parker: "The Chardonnay Sonoma Coast offers aromas of honey-drizzled peaches, poached pears, musk melon and butterscotch. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasant oiliness to the texture and plenty of butter-laced stone fruit flavors on offer, it has great harmony and persistence" In addition to reflecting the dazzling quality of the 2017 growing season, the 2017 Patz & Hall Sonoma Coast Chardonnay includes grapes from an exceptional new vineyard that was planted specifically for us by renowned winegrower Mark Sanchietti. Though it comes from a who’s who of world-class Sonoma Coast vineyards, the core of this Chardonnay is from Sanchietti Vineyard Pleasant Hill and Gap’s Crown, with the Sanchietti fruit adding richness and texture and the Gap’s Crown grapes providing minerality and vibrant acidity. Blended with grapes from acclaimed vineyards like Parmalee Hill, Dutton Ranch and Durell Vineyard, this wine is beautifully complex with aromas and flavors of pineapple, guava, honeydew and lime zest, as well as secondary notes of toasted almond macaroon, cinnamon and sugar cookies. On the palate, it is plush and mouthfilling, flowing to a long, layered finish"

Punching above its weight class, but that’s what I would expect from P&H. This 2017 is just a beauty right now. Wonderful scents of toasted almond, vanilla, and melon. Pear and green apple are complimented with some mint like herbaceousness and mineral strength. Really pretty.

Saved this for Turkey day and didn’t disappoint! This had a buttery, melon, and slight zesr flavor that went excellent with our dinner. Not necessarily a stand alone drink but fabulous with food.

Second bottle this week because. . . We had another turkey. This has paired very well with our turkey brine and still have a couple bottles for future meals.
