A Brix26 exclusive! If your a fan on Zin-based Red Blends like The Prisoner have we got a treat for you! We teamed up with our winemaker friend Patrick McNeil to create this delicious red only available here! Tasting Notes: Dark fruit followed by lighter notes of rhubarb and red fruits. Tobacco, pie crust, and a very slight fruit roll-up character. Nice depth and richness. Higher acidity levels balance nicely with the natural richness of Petite Sirah. Tannins are well integrated and contribute a seamless texture to the wine. The blend is 75% Zinfandel, 30% Syrah, 14% Grenache, the grapes were sourced from several top select vineyards in Calistoga and St. Helena. Fermented in stainless steel and small open top bins. The fruit was hand sorted and de-stemmed, followed by a 3 day cold soak with one pump over per day. Pressed off the skins at 6 degrees Brix; aged for 18 months in neutral French oak. Enjoy!
