              New release of Pahlmeyer's flagship Proprietary Red.  Cellar Selection. 96 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted as a barrel sample, the Pahlmeyer 2018 Proprietary Red is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, largely from the Upper Range Vineyard. It will be the only red released in 2018 by Pahlmeyer. Rocking cassis, dark chocolate, crushed violets, gravelly earth, and graphite all define the bouquet, and it's full-bodied on the palate, with the more pure, seamless style of the vintage. It has gorgeous tannins as well as terrific balance, and it's going to benefit from 4-5 of bottle age." 95 Points Robert Parker: "Mainly off the estate vineyard and mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Pahlmeyer's 2019 Proprietary Red spent 18 months in almost all new French oak. Gentle herbal notes accent cherry and cassis on the nose of this full-bodied wine, which manages to be rich and velvety without ever being heavy. Waves of ripe fruit, cedary oak and savory loam linger on the long, elegant finish. This should drink well for up to two decades."
