The Pahlmeyer 2013 Jayson Proprietary Red is a second label of the same wine that goes into the Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red. This is a fantastic opportunity at a great price - limited. With the 2013 Jayson Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley we present the first vintage of this wine and the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pahlmeyer. The new label celebrates the wine’s debut, pedigree and distinction. This gorgeous 100% Cabernet leads with mouthwatering aromas of ripe cherries, freshly cut carnation and cracked pepper. The silky entry evokes juicy red plums and rich Swiss chocolate, handsomely framed with notes of river stone, fennel and black tea. Fine-grained tannins lend a sophisticated elegance and model structure that allow this wine to drink nicely upon release. A fantastic new addition to the Pahlmeyer lineup!

Deep ruby. Meritage blend. All parts working well together. Spicy cloves, tootsie roll, black cherry cola, dipped in dark chocolate.

Deep ruby red in appearance. Dark berries on the nose with some cocoa, nutmeg and a little savory. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Quite dry on the palate with dark cocoa powder, black currants, cassis, gravel and a little tobacco. Long finish. Drink till 2025.

So rich and flavorful. With a few more years it will get even better.

"Red wine" listed on label. Not sure of varietal breakdown. Regardless, delicious, firm, juicy.

Most first labels would be jealous of this second label. Long legs in the glass, nice balance of dark fruit and oak with a little spice in the finish.

Very impressed with this wine. Found it at a wine shop in Kauai and I have been dying to try it. Definitely worth the price point. Smooth up front and a fantastic kick at the end. Not sure of the blend percentage but a nice little wine to go with steak.
