Orin Swift Mannequin California Chardonnay 2022

Another great new release from Orin Swift and the rare Mannequin Chardonnay.  90 Points Robert Parker:  "Even with an appreciable volume (11,300 cases), all of the Chardonnay Mannequin was barrel fermented and matured, spending eight months in 23% new French oak. Blended primarily from Santa Barbara and Sonoma sources (there is some Napa fruit, as well as 2.6% Viognier), it's toasty on the nose, boasting notes of roasted cashew, grilled peaches and vanilla. It's full-bodied, lush and easy to drink, with tropical fruit and pineapple on the finish." The Mannequin Chardonnay pours a luminous gold core with flecks of emerald, which appear stunning in the glass. Aromatic notes of yellow peach, crème fraiche and graham cracker emanate without much coaxing. On the palate, bright hints of white peach, bosc pear, caramel apple, candied walnut and lemon pith envelop and coat effortlessly. A round finish and supple mouthfeel give way to a touch of toffee at close.
