Odette Estate Adaptation Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

$54.99

A new great-value Cabernet Sauvignon from the folks at PlumpJack's Odette Estate. Limited. Blackberry liqueur, blueberries, hints of black currants and dried herbs intertwine into one harmonious wine. The silky texture, fresh acidity and long lingering finish leave a staining impression across the palate. This is a beautiful showing of Cabernet Sauvignon in a truly magnificent vintage.

Very young. Tannins owned the day for this tasting. Could imagine a bold Cab in a few more years. Opened up a bit over few minutes to provide peek at dark fruit in hiding.

Finally getting around to posting Day 5 in Napa, our final day. 5 years in a row visiting...hope to make it 6 next year! Dominant cab with around 15% merlot to soften it out. It’s very plush in style with fairly soft tannins but definitely worthy of a short decant. Blackberry, cassis, plum, black cherry and dark cocoa.

tasting the '16 up against the '15.... '16 is smoother and a bit sweeter, maybe riper is better term. both have long finish, demensional experience, depth and wanting one more glass. never disappoints, fabulous wine.
