Fermented in 16% French new oak and 14% in clay amphora, then aged on fine lees for 12 months, it's medium-bodied, with a fresh, focused, racy mouthfeel, good concentration, and outstanding length. Drink this brilliant Carneros Chardonnay over the coming decade. The finish is long, focused, and clean, leaving behind impressions of wet stone and citrus oil." Marie-Laure Ammons founded Nid Tissé, the name itself translates to “woven nest”, in French. A native of France, she studied wine in Burgundy and Bordeaux. Nid Tisse evokes traveling to a new place and making a home - hers being in Napa Valley for nearly 20 years, 18 of them working with Philippe Melka. Nid Tisse reflects a marriage of the old and new world -California sunshine with freshness, texture and ability to gracefully age that are rooted in the tradition of old world wines.
