Nickel & Nickel Truchard Vineyard Chardonnay 2015
Delicious new Chardonnay release from Far Niente's single vineyard Nickel & Nickel winery. Only 250 cases produced. The 2014 Truchard offers flavors of peach, pear, grapefruit and banana, with citrus notes enhanced by the stone and mineral elements midpalate. Toasty flavors from the French oak harmonize with the exotic fruit providing a layered palate from start to finish.

Had this about a year ago and wanted to see how this developed. Nickel & Nickel exclusively produces 100% varietal, single-vineyard wines that express the distinctive personality of each vineyard. Established in 1997 by the partners of Far Niente. Aromas of ripe stone fruit and citrus. On the palate subtle apple, melon and pear flavors, with some lemon zest, vanilla and mineral notes. Nice round balance with tamed acidity on lingering finish, rich minerality. Nice mouthfeel, Classic, very nice! perfect now!
