Nickel and Nickel Winery is all about single varietal, single vineyard wines and the Sullenger Vineyard is a beautiful Cabernet from the folks at Far Niente. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. previous vintage 94 Points Robert Parker: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the Cabernet Sauvignon John C Sullinger Vineyard has a floral nose with cassis, red cherries and redcurrants plus wafts of pencil shavings and rose hip tea. The medium to full-bodied palate is vivacious with loads of poise and freshness plus firm, grainy tannins, finishing long." The home vineyard of Nickel & Nickel, Sullenger Vineyard is situated behind the winery in the heart of Oakville and just next to Opus One! It is named for John C. Sullenger, who settled the farmstead in the 1880’s. The vineyard’s 30 acres of clay loam soil are planted exclusively to Cabernet Sauvignon.

2022 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes. Medium/medium-heavy body. Ripe nose. This was supple and giving from the get-go. Nice mineral subtleties beneath the richness currently. Thank you @Neil Valenzuela 12.10.25.
