93+ Points                                                    Nickel and Nickel Winery is all about single varietal, single vineyard wines and the Hayne Vineyard is a beautiful Cabernet from the folks at Far Niente. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 93+ Points Robert Parker:  "Deep garnet-purple colored, the Cabernet Sauvignon Hayne Vineyard (100% Cabernet) gives up cassis, kirsch, plums and spice box with cigars and cedar plus hints of lilacs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, fresh and elegant with firm, grainy tannins and a soft-spoken intensity."   Hayne Vineyard is situated in St. Helena at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains and is well known for its single-vineyard wines from the site, especially from Turley Wine Cellars. The vines are small to moderate in size due to the gravelly, loam soils, and produce limited yields. The warm St. Helena temperatures are ideal for concentrated, jammy fruit. This vineyard tends to be picked at the beginning of harvest each year.
