The blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, aged in 81% new French oak.  Acquired in 2007, Mt. Brave is a single-estate vineyard in the northernmost part of the Mt. Veeder appellation. from 1,400’ to 1,800’ in elevation, Mt Brave Vineyard is planted to 35.5 acres of vines. All of the vineyard work is done by hand, due to the rugged conditions and steep slopes of Mt. Veeder. Winemaker: Chris Carpenter.  The Mt. Brave 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is powerful and focused with fine tannins and fresh acidity that will aid in graceful maturation, slowly revealing the wine’s true nature over time.

This wine had excellent dark fruit and tannins that maintain some grip and structure. You can tell this is mountain fruit. Drank over 3 nights with argon preservation in the fridge. Paired very well with manchego and also with chili.
