97+ Points Parker                                                          Morlet makes some of the most coveted wines in Sonoma and all of California. These are some of the top-scoring wines of the vintage. Limited. 96 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Morlet 2022 Chardonnay Ma Douce pours a medium yellow hue with a delicate haze (like the majority of the family’s white wines), the result of being produced unfiltered. It comes from the Fort-Ross Seaview area of Sonoma, with a more coastal influence, at high elevations ranging from 1300-1500 feet above sea level. They were able to harvest the vineyard before the heat wave that came through the region over Labor Day, and the wine retains a characterizable lush but fresh feel. It takes on a pleasing warmth on the nose, with notes of sea spray, candied lemon drops, honeydew melon, and sweet cream. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with its pithy texture through the long finish, but it never turns bitter. It’s a fantastic wine to enjoy over the next 10 years. 290 cases were produced." In St. Helena, the heart of the Napa Valley, Luc and Jodie Morlet handcraft vins de terroirs and unique cuvées from the surrounding Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast. Meticulously farmed vineyards and low-intervention winemaking techniques produce powerful yet refined wines displaying personality, complexity and graceful aging capability. By taking Old World principles and adapting them to California, the Morlet style results in wines which are harmonious in their intensity, richness and refinement. Unwavering commitment to quality leads to small yields, attentive sorting, and the highest standard when blending. Thus, a very limited amount of each wine is produced.
