Mollydooker Wines Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz 2020

$54.99

Mollydooker is a hot new label from Australia - try one of the highest-rated Shiraz' ever while its still available. 95 Points Robert Parker: "The opaque purple-colored Mollydooker Blue-Eyed Boy Shiraz spent 12 months in 80% new American oak. It offers up an enticing nose of cedar, tobacco, mineral, blueberry, and black raspberry. Opulent on the palate, this glossy effort will evolve for another 1-2 years but can be enjoyed now and over the next decade." 94 Points Wine Spectator: "A succulent, juicy red, with huckleberry, plump blackberry and blueberry preserves that show hints of salted dark chocolate, dried violet and cardamom. Beyond the generous fruit flavors is a structure of polished tannins, with hints of palo santo, dried herbs and tobacco, adding depth and intrigue on the finish. Drink now through 2046."   Mollydooker (the Australian equivalent of “Southpaw”– both Sparky and Sarah Marquis are left-handed) is the label of the renowned winemaking team of Sparky and Sarah Marquis.

Sipping Fine Wine Delectable Pro

Love these “Blue Boys.” Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with licorice, cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tannins, peasant mouthfeel (16% Alcohol), full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run over short term.
