Meyer Family Cellars Spitfire Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

$109.99

Just released and sourced exclusively. Fashioned by Matt Meyer, son of Silver Oak Cellars’ owners Bonny and Justin Meyer. About as limited as Silver Oak Wines and equally delicious, this rarity is an irresistible offer at a fantastic price. Tasting Notes:  "TheLe Bon Bon is a good old American Cabernet that is polished and elegant. The aromas spring to life with ripe plum and blackberries jumping out of the glass. Sourced from the same vineyard as the Spitfire, but without American Oak. Two years in oak have softened the palate, making this a very approachable Oakville red wine. As with previous vintages we get hints of cardamom and other savory characters. Unlike previous vintages, this wine does not seem to need extra bottle aging to settle down. The 2015 seems surprisingly drinkable for such a young cabernet, making it extremely enjoyable at the moment and an appropriate accompaniment to your next steak.100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.7% ABV.

Enjoyable cab from oakville. Plenty of fruit on this one, with a good amount of oak on the backend. This wine would probably benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
