The latesst release from Caymus! A fantastic new Chardonnay under the Meiomi label, always one of California's best buys.Unifying three of California's most notable coastal areas from the maritime mist of Sonoma, to the chilly fog of Santa Barbara, and the howling winds of Monterey in between - these Chardonnay vineyards lay the foundation for one dynamic blend. With a soft hand in the cellar and aged in French barrels, the wine evolves into an elegant balance of spice and fruit, weight and restraint. The Meiomi Chardonnay opens with luxurious aromas of apple, pear, and white flowers. Creamy and lush on the palate, it possesses ripe flavors of golden apple, bright pear, and honeysuckle that all weave together naturally in the soft, creamy finish.

Dark and delicious as I like them. I still have to say the Bella Glos Santa Lucia Highland called Altamira or something close is still my fav.

Very very basic. Big oak and toffee with baked golden apple. Absolutely no progression of flavors on the palate; it finishes the way it starts - boring.
