McPrice Myers "M" by Mac & Billy Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

A fantastic Paso Robles Cab from one of our favorite Central Coast wineries, McPrice Myers. A Best Buy, previous vintage 95 Points Robert Parker: " I love this easy-to-drink Cabernet Sauvignon from McPrice Myers that well overdelivers for its price. Deep ruby-purple, it has alluring aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, dried herbs, leather and lavender, plus classy touches of oak spice. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and powerful without going over the top. It has abundant, grainy tannins, flinty streaks and plenty of refreshing acidity to carry the long finish Billy Grant first collaborated with McPrice Myers in 2017 as an industry consultant. In 2021, he contributed his start-up M Cab label to the McPrice Myers Portfolio becoming a partner and stepping into the role of Business Development. Affectionately known as the loudest guy in the room, Grant was awarded the Paso Robles Wine Country Association’s Industry Person of the year in 2021 for his enthusiastic promotion of the region. Destemmed, 3-5 day cold-soak, fermented in stainless steel and small open top bins, with pump-overs occurring during cold-soak and punch downs during fermentation. Aged 20 months in 225 and 228 liter French and American oak barriques, 20% of which were new.
