A bit too excited because my house Reno and wine cellar were completed I grabbed this young beast. This wine was powerful and I opened it far too early. Aggressive tannins were a bit much at this age but it still showed some beauty and luxury which should show wonderfully in a few years.

Slightly bitter, gentle tannins that creep up on your tongue. Dried blueberry up front, mild creme de casis, and a gentle white pepper bite finish. Complex and unique. Not my favorite, but well worth the price. I think given a couple years to mature, would be perfect. Gets noticeably better as it opens up. I highly suggest pairing this cab with food, it pairs beautifully, and mellows the gentle bite. 98+pts Robert Parker

Definitely can see the 98+ rating it received, not sure you can call this a 2nd label wine, too good for that Both 13 Maybachs are fantastic
