MacPhail Family Wines The Flyer Pinot Noir 2018

MacPhail is one of our favorite Pinot Noir discoveries of the year. A great small producer any Pinot lover should check out now. Highly recommended. The MacPhail 2018 The Flyer Pinot Noir is unique blend of eight Pinot Noir single-vineyards on the cool Sonoma Coast. Bright red fruits jump from the glass, led by cherry, raspberry and pomegranate, in both aromas and flavors. There’s a spicy sassiness with notes of cedar and clove and a touch of white pepper. Smooth tannins highlight a wonderful mouthfeel in this balanced overview of all the Sonoma Coast can be. It’s really no surprise how well the Sonoma Coast is showcased in this exceptional cuvée.
