Limited. 97 Points Robert Parker: "The bigger, richer 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petite Sirah aged 16 months in 50% new French and American casks. This is a bigger wine and close to 2% higher in alcohol at 15.5%. A big, full-bodied, boisterous Cabernet Sauvignon that has a dense ruby/purple color, notes of underbrush, forest floor, tobacco leaf and oodles of blackcurrants and black cherries, with a touch of woodsmoke. The full-bodied wine hits the palate with a cascade of glycerin, fruit and purity. This is a beauty — dense, rich, and structured, but capable of lasting 20 or more years. The Martini family has been crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa and Sonoma's finest vineyards since 1933. Founder Louis M. Martini started with this simple premise: the best grapes make the best wines. Today, this tradition carries on at their historic winery in the Napa Valley with a range of unforgettable Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Deep and dark purplish red. Layered nose with cocoa leaves, tobacco, and some dark dusty berries. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus to almost full bodied. Dark palate with black cherries, black currants, coconut, vanilla and a touch herbaceous in the medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2028. (91+)

Sipping Fine Wine
A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petite Sirah, aged 16 months in 50% new French and American oak, a big wine, very approachable for a 2014. Dense Ruby with black fruit aromas, earthy herb scents and soft spice. On the palate sweet fruits, cherry and currants, with licorice, tobacco and cacao notes on soft tannins, very well balanced. Lingering finish ending with earthy wood, very nice and has lots of room for cellaring. Only 11,000 cases so I got a few bottles to set down, check back in a few years!
