$39.99

Limerick Lane is back with fantastic new Zinfandels. Hurry while these small-production gems are still available.  From their 30-acre estate near Healdsburg in the northeast corner of the Russian River Valley, Limerick Lane produces Zinfandel with a full sense of their Sonoma heritage. The wines convey an honest finesse and a pristine sense of the unique terroir of the Russian River Valley. Zinfandel fanatics are down-to-earth in their passion for the grape, and Limerick Lane is a treasured secret among the faithful for its value and expression. Rustic, gutsy Zinfandel delicately balanced with clarity of fruit and acid.  Minimal use of oak preserves the freshness and highlights the full chewy structure. previous vintage 94 Points Wine Spectator:  "A knockout Zinfandel, balancing an opulent texture with great focus and depth. Aromas of rose petal and raspberry lead to rich and layered flavors of cherry, herbes de Provence and cracked white pepper. Finishes with a bounce of acidity and ripe, lively tannins. Drink now through 2020." 92 Points Robert Parker: "The 2013 Zinfandel from the Russian River is another sexy wine, and one of their largest production cuvées of just under 2,000 cases. It finished at 14.6% alcohol and shows plenty of classic Mediterranean roasted herbs, pepper, spice and full-bodied blackberry and cherry fruit. It’s a classic Zinfandel, very pure, impressively crafted and should drink nicely for up to a decade."

Please help! Ladies and gentlemen of the Vine, my recent wine choices have left me incredibly unhappy. I was hoping for a beautiful date with Zinfandel tonight and Zin really disappointed me. The Limerick Lane has some high and low notes, and was missing everything in between. Nothing to chew on, no spice and no love.

Really great fruit. Could use some more spice and less heat but let’s see what day two brings. Very fine and sexy finish now.

So this is my first wine from this producer. The nose is jammmmmy but it mellows and is great on the palate. Some pepper notes but the fruit dominates. Near perfect pairing for smoked BBQ ribs on the Big Green Egg. Great end to Sunday funday. Cheers

This has really come a long way from a year ago. Not as lively as the 12 but it's on a good path.

Sampling the goods early to compare to be prior vintage. The extra year will do this well. It's young.
