A fantastic new release from Limerick Lane, one of our favorite California wineries. Limited. 95 Points Robert Parker: "The 2012 Syrah/Grenache (66% and 34% respectively) sees some new French oak. It offers up copious aromas of blackcurrants, cherries, strawberries, licorice, asphalt and roasted herbs. Good acidity, beautiful density, a full-bodied opulence, and 14.1% alcohol suggest it will drink well for 6-8+ years.......This long-moribund winery, which started off so impressively and then went through several personal tragedies, has been resurrected under new ownership by the Bilbro family, who has long-owned the Marietta Cellars winery (known for their sensational values). Brothers Jake and Scott Bilbro are doing a magnificent job with the Limerick Lane wines, most Zinfandel-dominated efforts, but also some intriguing blends that readers will adore."
